Remember

From across a river, I saw the towers fall.
Humanity lost so much: loved ones, heroes, innocence.
At least for a time, much was gained: perspective, priorities,
and the undeniable knowledge of life's fragility and ephemera.
May we forever hold in our hearts what was lost and never lose what was gained.
